Over the course of his career, Axelrod has created growth opportunities, solved problems, and mitigated risks for a wide range of clients, from small, privately-held companies to startups, non-profit organizations, and some of the largest corporations in the world.
In 2009, Axelrod founded GPG Strategies, a boutique government affairs and business development firm with offices in Chicago and Phoenix. Since its inception, Axelrod has served as President & CEO, successfully procuring tens of millions of dollars in business for clients while helping them create long-lasting executive and legislative outcomes.
Prior to forming GPG Strategies, Axelrod worked at AKPD Message and Media, the Chicago-based consulting firm best known for advising President Obama's political campaigns. Axelrod helped create the firm's international practice. Within this role, he crafted strategy, messaging, and polling, leading to results so impressive that the Associated Press referred to them as "stunning."
Axelrod also volunteers his time as a board member of the Phoenix Mayor's Commission on Disability Issues, the Phoenix Residential Investment Development Effort, and Chicago-based Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE).
Axelrod attended Beloit College, where he earned a BS in political science in 2005, and he currently lives with his wife and two children in Phoenix, Arizona, splitting time in Chicago, Illinois.
